Below are brief descriptions of the techniques used

Polarity therapy is a technique that addresses the subtle levels of tension that accumulate over time and create symptoms of discomfort. Gentle touch, movement, and guidence of self-awareness are used to help clients balance their energy flow, thus supporting a return to wellness.

Swedish massage is the most commonly practiced form of massage. It combines long fluid movements with firm but gentle pressure toward the heart to increase circulation, relieve muscle tension, and support immune system functioning.

Deep tissue is used to release chronic patterns of muscular tension. Slow strokes, direct pressure and friction are applied on a focused problem area.

Hydrotherapy is the use of water for pain relief and treatment. We use warm, moist heated towels or ice depending on the treatment. The heat treatment is applied to stiff muscles and chronic aches, or to scar tissue and stimulates circulation, drawing extra nutrients into an area to assist in the recovery and healing process. Ice massage is used to reduce inflammation, relieve muscle spasms, and reduce post-exerice soreness.

Trigger point - Trigger points are tender, congested spots in muscle tissue that may refer pain to another area of the body. Moderate to heavy finger/knuckle pressure is applied to these points to relieve pain, stiffness and or tension; it's practiced in conjunction with neuromuscular therapy.

Neuromuscular therapy is a profound form of bodywork that consists of locating and relieving trigger points, then using various gentle ways to help restore the normal functionings of the muscle through slow repetitive work, thus working with the mind/muscle connection.
